EMbA – continued

How does it look inside?

Decoration will be a fusion/hybrid design of Chinese and English. There are 4 major “corners” namely kids, coffee, books and sharing.

  1. The kids’ corner will have glass partitions such that parents can keep an eye on their kids. Of course there will toys, soft mats and books for kids.
  2. The coffee corner will serve coffee, cake and snacks.
  3. The book corner will have shelf for donated books/case studies and stands for new books.
  4. The sharing corner will have few small private rooms and big round tables for 8-10 people group discussions. The big screen will be there with audio visual facilities. If space permits we may equip that corner with a baby grand piano for people to show off their skills.

Membership
All CU graduates from business administration faculty can join with a small annual fee. Students are welcome to enjoy the facility but certain services may not be available to them until they have graduated (such as recruitment and “match-making”).

If you are member of the CUMBA alumni association you are automatically a member at a reduced subscription rate.

Business Viability
Ideally EMbA will be located at a high floor of a commercial building in either Central or Admiralty where convenient access by car and public transport is available. No of attendance required would be limited to 3-4 to reduce costs as members are business executives who will behave appropriately with minimal attention and take good care of the facilities there. The income of EMbA will therefore be the coffee corner, which should be ideally operated by the vendor at a monthly fee, sale of books and annual membership subscriptions. Possible income streams of course would be sponsorships from major businesses that our members are working in, commission (50% of gross income received at wedding banquet of match-making services) and 10% commissions of all transactions conducted between members within EMbA.
