Firefox 3 RC1

May 25, 2008

This RC1 is said to be good for everyday use. Download it from here.

In ubuntu you’ll get the latest by default but you’ll need a few more steps in order to get RC1. In System>Administration>Software Sources click the ‘Third-Party Software’ tab and the ‘add+’ button then type in

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/fta/ubuntu hardy main

You should be prompted automatically that new updates are available. Click the ‘Install Updates’ button then the rest is automatic.

Interesting enough if you look in Help>About Mozilla Firefox you’ll see it’s Version 3.0 without mentioning RC1.

I wouldn’t say this is his destination it’s just a milestone and beginning of a lot more learning, again enjoy it. There’ll be certainly hardship then earn it.

PDF preview handler

Today I discovered workaround using Foxit Preview Handler which works even better than the default handler.

Sheet Music

I used to get free download of Sheet Music from here. I have collected quite a lot at home. The downside is that these papers can’t be neatly organized.

Recently I decided to spend money to get a proper book such as below

I’m returning to K332 second movement which I have done some years ago.
