There are good web resources such as this, this, this, this and my recommendation for someone like me who isn’t used to regular physical exercise for many years. Due to the constraints of time and location I’m sure most people won’t be able to follow exactly what are recommended. I consider myself lucky because I have uphill, downhill, a flat section to either walk or run in my loop. My goal now would be doing the same for at least 6 months before I find a track suitable to try real running.
