公平兢爭

最近家中的洗水機生病告假,這已習以為常,一年起碼一次。找來修理員,他說馬達死了,最驚嚇的是要回厰起碼一週,費用是 $2,640, 又如果修理時發現其他問題便會不只此數。

這用了不足六年的洗衣機就此去了回收場。

自然我以最快速度找新的補上,沒心情做市場調查,速度要緊,火速到了銅鑼灣最大的商場,心想最大的連鎖店都在那裡,選擇必多。

不用十五分鐘結論是大的連鎖店裡賣的全是一樣,我要洗衣及乾衣合一的,選擇只有三個,價錢全是一樣,可選的只是在那店買或今後用手洗,其實在那店買分別也不大,因售後服務不是零售店提供的。

你可說在商場內是有兢爭 (家電店有三數間),客人在品牌間也有選擇 (起碼有三個給我選,只洗衣的選擇更多)。 我的感覺是一切都被零售店操控了,包括價錢、品牌和形號也是。 表面公平的兢爭環境其實是人為的。

我相信各店決定售那些品牌和給客人多少選擇一定對品牌形號做了"資格預審",租金貴人工高,利錢低流量少的一定沒有機會。 各店只要因應環境不做對業界有害的事就天下太平了。

    It is not uncommon to have such encounter in HK.
    Especially, you are a shopper who needs to buy stuff for home.
    If you are looking for something specific, you got either little choices or no choice at all.
    Once I was asked to buy a simple bench for doing weight-lifting, as simple as a cushioned surface and with four legs. What I was getting from my market researches are all the slanting benches, foldable benches…etc.
    In the end, I was contacting the supplier directly to order that….
